This policy explains how Yo!Dara Publishing (“Yo!Dara,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a Hikari Create company, collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you read on this website, create an account, follow or like series, contact us, join The Next Chapter updates, submit creative work, or publish on Yo!Dara.
Information we collect
Accounts (readers and creators)
When you create an account we collect your display name, handle, email address, date of birth (to apply age rules: 13+ for accounts, 18+ for creators and Mature series; never shown publicly), and a securely hashed password (we never see or store your actual password). You may add a bio and links. Creators’ names, handles, bios, links, and series appear on their public creator page.
Reading activity
To show creators how their work is doing, we count episode views and whether a reader reached the end of an episode. For logged-in readers we use a one-way code derived from your account; for everyone else, a one-way code derived from your connection and browser. These codes can’t be turned back into your IP address or identity. We also record the general source of a visit (for example “search” or “Instagram”). We store your likes and follows so you can manage them; public pages show only totals, never who liked or followed.
Creative submissions and publishing
We collect what you send when you apply: name, email, confirmation of being 18 or older, creative role, project details, logline, synopsis, optional script excerpt, age rating, schedule, AI-use answer, images, the reference number, review status, editorial decisions and messages, and internal notes. For published series we keep your series details, episodes, images, scheduling, and a record of your license acceptance.
Reports
If you report content, we keep the report, a one-way code of the reporter, and (if you were logged in) your account. We don’t tell creators who reported their work, except that copyright notices may be shared as described on our Copyright page.
Contact and update forms
General inquiries may include your name, email, subject, and message. Update signups include your email address and subscription status.
Technical and security information
Our hosting provider processes IP addresses, browser and device information, timestamps, requested pages, and server logs to deliver and protect the site. We use one essential cookie to keep you logged in and protect forms. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. To block spam and abuse, our forms may use Cloudflare Turnstile, a security check that processes technical information about your browser, and we keep short-lived rate-limit records that store only a one-way code of your IP address or email address.
How we use information

- Apply age rules and the Content Policy, and handle reports and copyright notices
- Communicate about your account, submissions, and published work
- Send opted-in news and creator calls
- Operate, troubleshoot, secure, back up, and improve the site
- Keep appropriate business, legal, and audit records
How we share information
We share information only with authorized Yo!Dara and Hikari Create personnel who need it for editorial, operational, legal, or business purposes; with providers who work for us (website hosting, email delivery, Cloudflare security services, and backup storage); with professional advisers; or with authorities when required by law, including reports of child sexual exploitation where the law requires them. We may transfer information in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of the business. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
Creative work and privacy
Unpublished submissions and drafts are stored in a protected area and are visible only to you and authorized staff. Uploaded images are re-saved by our system, which removes hidden data such as camera location. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure, so keep your own originals.
Retention
We keep account information while your account is open. Daily view records are kept for up to 13 months, after which only totals remain. We keep submissions, editorial records, license acceptances, and reports for as long as reasonably needed to evaluate work, document decisions, protect rights, and meet legal obligations. Backups are kept for a limited period and then overwritten.
Your choices and rights
From your profile page you can download a copy of your data and delete your account. Deleting an account removes your profile, likes, and follows. Records of submissions, editorial decisions, license acceptances, and reports may be kept where we need them for legal or rights reasons. If you have published series, remove them first or contact us. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time. For other requests (access, correction, or deletion), email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honor them.
Children
Yo!Dara isn’t for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email us and we’ll delete it. Readers aged 13–17 can’t see Mature series and can’t submit or publish work. Their accounts never have public profile pages.

The site may link to Hikari Create, creators’ own websites, or other services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. The date above shows the latest revision. We’ll post material changes here and notify account holders by email.
