RESPECTING CREATORS’ RIGHTS
Copyright & DMCA
Effective October 18, 2026 · Draft pending legal review
Yo!Dara is built on original work, and we take copyright seriously, both for the creators we publish and for everyone else. If you believe something on Yo!Dara infringes your copyright, tell us using the steps below.
Reporting infringement (takedown notice)
Send a written notice to our designated copyright agent that includes all of the following:
- Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full legal name is fine).
- Identification of the copyrighted work you believe was infringed (for example, a link to your original or a description of it).
- The exact location of the material on Yo!Dara you want removed: the series and episode link (for example, yodara.com/series/name/3).
- Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
When we receive a complete notice, we remove or disable the material promptly and tell the creator who posted it, including a copy of your notice (your contact details may be shared with them so they can respond).
Our designated agent
Copyright Agent, Yo!Dara Publishing
Email: [email protected] (subject line “Copyright notice”)
Mailing address: provided on request while our agent registration is completed
You can also use the Report link on any episode and choose “It copies someone else’s work”. For a takedown, though, we still need the full written notice above.
If your work was removed (counter-notice)
If you’re the creator and believe your work was removed by mistake or misidentified, you can send a counter-notice to the same agent with:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed and where it appeared before removal.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which Yo!Dara may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice.
We forward valid counter-notices to the person who filed the original notice. If they don’t tell us within 10 business days that they’ve filed a court action, we may restore the material within 10 to 14 business days after receiving the counter-notice.
Repeat infringers
We close the accounts of creators who repeatedly infringe others’ copyrights, in appropriate circumstances.
Please be accurate
Under U.S. law, anyone who knowingly makes material misrepresentations in a notice or counter-notice may be liable for damages. If you’re unsure whether something infringes your rights, consider talking to a lawyer first.
